Losene Keita steps in to complete Oktagon's Tipsport Gamechanger lineup
Reigning featherweight champion makes late entry into Oktagon's €1 million lightweight tournament as 16-man lineup is confirmed.
The final lineup is now set for Oktagon MMA's 2024 Tipsport Gamechanger tournament, with the 16 men set for action in the lightweight tournament now confirmed following a late change.
Oktagon recently confirmed the additions of Dutch former Cage Warriors champion Agy Sardari, Swedish contender Sahil Siraj, Germany's Attila Korkmaz, and Belgium's Donovan Desmae to round out the 16-man field. But injury to German contender Konrad Dyrschka opened up a late spot on the bracket.
That spot will now be taken by one of the promotion's biggest names, with reigning featherweight champion Losene Keita stepping in to enter the tournament and complete the lineup. Keita’s addition was revealed on the official Tipsport Gamechanger Instagram page.
It means that Keita will join a field that includes current Oktagon lightweight champion (and former Keita victim) Ronald Paradeiser, Poland’s inaugural Oktagon lightweight champion and current No. 1 contender Mateusz Legierski, Finnish former UFC featherweight Makwan Amirkhani, and rising English prospect Akonne Wanliss.
The tournament will get underway with the entire first round of matchups at Oktagon 54 in Ostrava on Saturday, March 2.
